Starting in 1990 in Hong Kong a conference dedicated to the subject of Irlen Syndrome has been held every two years.
In 1998 this was held in England, in 2000 it was Australia's turn and in 2002 Canada. The 2004 conference was again hosted in Europe at Bruges (Belgium).
In January 2007 the ninth conference was in New Zealand. Notice the slight change in the sequence in dates? This was to allow the conference to be held in the Summer in New Zealand. The 10th conference was held at Houston, Texas in July 2008.
We have now been given the following information about the 11th Conference in Brazil which is on 25, 26 & 27 July 2012. This was sent by the conference organizers:
“This is going to be a very special conference. The Irlen International Conference
will be held in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at the campus of one of the top universities in
Brazil -
and cafeterias and many small and cozy hotels nearby (Parnpulhas Lagoon area
which is a tourist zone of the city). The Irlen Conference will be part of an entire
week dedicated to Neurosciences in the campus, and the Dean of the University plus
the State Secretary of Education will speak at the opening session ceremony.
Speakers will include the Head-
Neurosciences, and Bio-
current concepts and future prospects.
There will be a special web site for the conference which will have information about
topics, previous program, possible speakers, travel information, hotels, and options
for those who would like to extend their visit travelling to Rio de Janeiro, lquacu Falls,
Pantanal, Amazon, Northern Beaches, etc.
